This Privacy Policy explains how Jobr App LLC ("Jobr", "we", "us"), the company that operates the Jobr & Co. application, collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our iOS app and web app. Jobr is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. By using Jobr you agree to this policy.
We collect: (1) Account information you provide — your name, email address, and phone number. (2) Content you create in the app — properties and their addresses, staff and resident records, expenses and income (amounts, categories, descriptions, dates), tasks, calendar events, and the photos and documents you upload. (3) Messages you send to the optional AI assistant. (4) Your subscription status from Apple or Stripe (we never receive your card details). (5) Technical data — device model, operating system, app version, language, and IP address — crash reports and performance diagnostics that help us find and fix bugs (collected through Sentry, with no personal identifiers attached), and aggregate, cookieless usage analytics. We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or any advertising identifier. We access your photo library only to attach the specific photos you choose, and never scan or index it.
We use your information to provide and operate the app's features, keep your account secure, process your subscription, send you service-related and (if you enable them) push notifications, respond to your requests, and — only if you turn it on — power the AI assistant. We use aggregate analytics to understand how the app is used and improve it. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Your data is hosted on Supabase, a managed cloud database provider, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States (the us-east-1 region). Because Jobr is operated from the United States, data of users located in Brazil or elsewhere is processed and stored in the U.S. — an international transfer you consent to by using the Service. Connections between your device and our servers use encrypted transport (TLS), and data is encrypted at rest by the hosting provider. Access to production data is restricted, and API keys and other secrets are kept only on our servers, never on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; Jobr holds no formal security certification such as SOC 2.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists, so the app stays usable. Cancelling a paid plan does not delete your data — it only ends premium features; your account and data remain until you delete them. To remove your data, use account deletion (Settings → Delete account): your account is locked for a 30-day grace period and then, on day 30, all of your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted. You can cancel the deletion during the grace period by signing in and choosing "Cancel deletion."
You can access, correct, and export your data within the app at any time, and delete your account and all associated data using account deletion. If you enabled the AI assistant, you can withdraw that consent and disable it at any time in Settings. Depending on where you live — including under Brazil's LGPD and similar data-protection laws — you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data and to object to or restrict certain processing. On iOS: (1) Apple Push Notification tokens are used for task and reminder notifications — stored on our servers, linked to your account, and never shared with third parties. (2) Apple In-App Purchase receipts are processed by Apple and verified by us to unlock your subscription; no card data reaches our servers. (3) We do not request the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not show App Tracking Transparency prompts, because we do not track you across other apps and do not share data with data brokers. (4) The camera and photo library are accessed only when you choose to add a photo to a property, asset, receipt, or your profile. (5) The microphone and on-device speech recognition are used only when you choose to dictate a message to the AI assistant; speech is transcribed on your device. (6) Face ID, if you enable it, is used only to unlock the app and is handled entirely by iOS — we never receive your biometric data.
If you use Sign in with Apple with "Hide My Email" enabled, Apple gives us a forwarding alias (ending in privaterelay.appleid.com) instead of your real email address. We respect that choice: we store the alias for account and email purposes and never attempt to resolve it to your real address.
Jobr offers an optional AI assistant powered by DeepSeek (deepseek.com), an AI company based in Hangzhou, China. The assistant is off until you explicitly opt in. When you send it a message, the context we send to DeepSeek can include the text of your message and information from your account — the names of your properties and expense and income categories, both aggregated and individual financial figures (including the amounts and descriptions of recent transactions), and the titles of tasks and calendar events along with staff names. That data may be processed and stored on servers in China, and we do not control how DeepSeek retains it afterward; DeepSeek's own privacy policy applies (https://cdn.deepseek.com/policies/en-US/deepseek-privacy-policy.html). You can withdraw consent and disable the assistant at any time in Settings. See our AI Usage Policy for full detail.
If you choose to connect a bank or card account, Jobr uses Plaid Inc. (plaid.com) to securely link it. You enter your bank credentials directly with Plaid — Jobr never sees or stores them. With your permission, Jobr accesses your transactions and account balances on a read-only basis to power budgeting, spending insights, and cash-flow forecasting. Jobr cannot move money, make payments, or initiate transfers. The access token Plaid returns is stored encrypted on our servers and is used only to retrieve this data; Plaid's own privacy policy applies (https://plaid.com/legal/#consumers). You can disconnect a bank at any time, and deleting your Jobr account revokes the Plaid connection and removes the stored token.
